Ground
The Oval (previously known as Cae Neina), first used by the football club in December 1888.
Capacity at the Oval is now 3,000 with seating for 250. The highest attendance was 6,000 on 14 December 1929 for the visit
of Bournemouth in the 2nd round of the FA Cup.
Ground improvements at the Oval
1911 Open 120 seater stand in use at South Road end.
Close season 1926 Corrugated iron fencing erected at front of the Oval. Turnstiles installed.
Christmas 1926 New 600 seater stand erected.
1934 600 seater stand sold to Bangor FC for £80.
August 1938 New 150 seater stand erected.
August 1939 New dressing rooms erected. Previously players changed at the Eagles Hotel or the Institute.
Close season 1947 New entrance to ground built; piping installed round the perimeter of the pitch.
1958 Oval purchased.
Close season 1959 Ground partly levelled, drainage installed.
May 1959 1000 spectator shelter erected at Hendre end. New toilets erected.
1959-62 Concrete terracing built.
August 1962 Prefabriacted building erected to serve as dressing rooms. Previous dressing rooms converted to a canteen.
May 1983 New boardroom, canteen, kitchen and secretary's room built. Dressing rooms refurbished.
October 1983 Floodlights installed.
Close season 1987 Shelter erected behind Marcus Street goal.
October 1996 Floodlights upgraded.
Close season 1997 Television gantry erected and studio built.
2000 New 250 seater stand erected
